Night had fallen in Arches National Park, and on the drive out of the park the Three Gossips stood tall, the moon and stars accenting the night sky.

When the sun rises in Canyonlands National Park, the lower section of Mesa Arch will light up and glow red!

Here is the third and final of the series. “The Last Sunrise of 2011 – #3″

On the last day of the year, I rolled out of bed hoping for a spectacular sunrise.  I can truthfully say, that sometimes a photographer will giggle with excitement as the images are captured.  So, picture me standing on the icy shore of Union reservoir a huge smile on my face as I snapped the last sunrise of 2011.  Here is the short series of images.  “The Last Sunrise of 2011 – #1″.

While hiking around the series of ponds at Pella Crossing on that beautiful fall morning, I came across this tree.  Glowing with color, I loved the shape and the contrast of the green grass, and of course the wonderful reflection!!  Wishing I was there now, laying back on that green grass and enjoying the sun!

This is another image from late October at Pella Crossing.  This particular morning the sun had a wonderful tint, and the trees were bright and vibrant.  All I needed was a reflective pond.  This is “Dragonfly Pond in Fall.”

Here is a fall image from a group of ponds not far from where I live.  That is longs peak lit up by the sunrise and reflected in Webster pond.

Here is another image from my early morning adventure yesterday.  This is an image of Heron Lake, as the rising sun bathed the lake in sweet sunlight.

Rolled out of bed just in time to get to sunset lake at sunrise.  I wanted to capture the fresh snow on Long’s Peak, some fall colors and of course a nice reflection.  Here are the results.  “Fall Sunrise at Sunset Lake”

This image is from a couple of weeks ago, when shooting along the Boulder Brook in Rocky Mountain National Park.  The stream divides and here is an image of a small fall on the smaller branch of the stream.
